BIG Brother romances are mostly PHONEY, show host Davina McCall has sensationally admitted
The presenter spoke out after the slanging match between Jen and her family about the housemate’s apparently fake love for Dale.
Davina, 40, said: “I’ve definitely thought that some BB relationships were formed just for the publicity.
“The cynic in me could think, ‘Oh look, they’re in all the magazines now together’.”
But amazingly she reckons the tacky romance of 21-year-olds busty Bex and nerd Luke WAS real — despite their “marriage” in Las Vegas proving to be just a publicity stunt.
She said: “I kind of love Bex and Luke, because they would never look at each other and think, ‘We’re going to get together just for that reason’.
“It was almost as if it was against their will that they liked each other.
“But with other couples, and I’m not going to single anybody out, if you’ve got your cynical hat on, you could think, ‘Well, they’re going to make a lot of money out of being in that magazine’. But you know what? I don’t care. I still love reading it.
“Even if they just go on two holidays together, because that’ll be my reading for a couple of weeks — cheers!”
Davina’s comments — made in today’s Heat magazine — come as Jen, 22, and Dale, 21, spent another afternoon posing for the cameras ... sorry, enjoying each other’s company
The duo spent yesterday splashing around on holiday in Spain, as intrigued onlookers were treated to plenty of flirting and posing from the “lovebirds”.
One said: “It was difficult to say whether it was all genuine as one minute they were all over each other and the next they were sitting in silence.
“But on the surface they looked like quite a cute couple. They’ve both got great bodies.”
We revealed last week how Jen’s family had been arguing over whether the relationship was real.
Her estranged husband David is convinced she still loves him and is with Dale to make cash.
But her dad Gary Smith insisted the romance was genuine.
